July 2009 Birthday Bash Follow-up
What an exciting birthday bash ride we had this month!! Lots of activity, that’s for certain. The day started out at 6am with the 50 milers starting bright and early for their ride out to Red Rock / Blue Diamond and back. The pace was pretty fast, but fun.
Then, then 20 milers started at 8am for their ride around Summerlin & The Lakes. The weather was on the hotter side, but the start time was still early enough to finish the ride before the triple digit heat set upon us.
After the ride, we all joined back up at Hampton Inn and had cake & coffee and socialized. We drew the winner of the free massage contest for June sponsored by BikingLasVegas.com and Bodywork Las Vegas. Then were off on our merry way.
The great thing about the cake ride is the kinship. The fun and casual spirit of the event. If you haven’t been to a cake ride, you don’t know what you’re missing. Until next month!
