2009 Mt. Charleston Hill Climb
The 24th annual Mt. Charleston Hill Climb is the oldest road race in Las Vegas. It was rated as one of the “Top Five Best Road Climbs in America” by Outside magazine due to it’s radical change in environment from desert to alpine mountain as you climb. The other aspect that makes it so challenging is how straight the road is. You can see 3,000 feet in elevation up the road, which only adds to the challenge. It’s difficult, beautiful and a test of your strength.
