I Ride for Mom: BikeMS 2009
Bike MS 2009 - Bike to create a world free of MS
For those of you who don’t know me, my mother has Multiple Sclerosis and has been battling it for decades. This year, I am taking part in an event here in Las Vegas called BikeMS 2009, to help raise funds for a wonderful organization that does so much to help people living with MS, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
BikeMS is a two day bike event that takes place November 7th & 8th. It will be the most challenging bicycle ride I will have ever ridden to date. It’s a total of 150 miles (96 miles the first day, the remaining miles the next.) I was fearful of doing this ride because I have never ridden a full century yet, but then I thought of my mom and all the other people who live in pain each and every day with their MS…and it inspired me. If they can live day to day with a devastating disease that is crippling, than I can ride 100 miles the first day to show them my support. I hope you will join me in supporting my efforts and to help bring an end to the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis.
