Calling out to all cyclists… We’re celebrating your Birthday!!

Is your birthday in July? Or perhaps you just love to eat cake? Come celebrate any cyclists whose birthdays are in July with BikingLasVegas.com! There will be cake, coffee and a fun ride around The Lakes and Summerlin.

If you want to eat off the Buffalo Wild Wings menu, you can, but bring your own cash for that.

HELMETS ARE MANDATORY. Please bring your own supplies in case of a flat tire & your own water bottles for the ride.

NOTE: This is not a sanctioned event. Ride at your own risk. You will be asked to sign a waiver prior to the start. Cycling is dangerous, please be aware of the group and ride safely or you will be asked to leave. For more on group safety etiquette, please see the group safety rules post here:

RTC Viva Bike Vegas - Saturday, October 9th 2010

I just received some exciting news to share with you regarding the RTC Viva Bike Vegas Ride for 2010.  I received a press release this morning from Allison Blankenship of the RTC Southern Nevada informing us of the route options and a little tidbit about the route this year that I had to pass it on as soon as I heard the news.

There are three route distances this year:

• 23 mile Ride
• 50 mile Half Century Ride
• 110 mile Century Ride

What makes this so exciting, is the 110 mile Century Riders will enjoy a one-of-a-kind route that features a historic ride across the nearly completed Hoover Dam Bridge!!  Before it’s open to vehicular traffic!

Registration is now open for the event.  Registration fees are as follows:

• 110 Mile Century - $75 before 8/4/10
  - $85 Late Registration from 8/5 - 10/8/10
• 50 Mile Half Century - $75 before 8/4/10
  - $85 Late Registration from 8/5 - 10/8/10
• 23 Mile Ride - $65 before 8/4/10
  - $75 Late Registration from 8/5/10 - 10/8/10
