RTC Bike Map

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

The RTC of Southern Nevada prints out a Bicycle Map periodically.  I’ve updated the BikingLasVegas.com website with the link to the most current map below.

BIKE MAP
In case anyone is looking for a quick view of all the different bike paths in Las Vegas, take a look at the RTC’s Bike Map.  It will show you a city view of the streets with bike routes, shared use paths, bike lanes, compatible bike roads and restricted roads.  Download it to your computer and plan a route.  Then, come on back to BikingLasVegas.com and share it with the rest of us in the Routes Section!  ;)

Want to know the Air Quality Index BEFORE you Ride?  This site can help!

I came across the AIRNow.gov website as I was reading one of my many fitness magazines.  The first thing I thought of when I read about it, was how helpful this site can be for the many cyclists I know who suffer from Asthma and other respiratory ailments.  AIRNow.gov is a very resourceful site that gives you up to the minute information about the air quality index all over the nation.  It also gives you related local and state air quality links for those of you who want to really follow the air quality in your area.

Take a look and see for yourself what a great resource this site is:
