2010 Goals

Postby pablocruiser on Mon Dec 21, 2009 12:38 pm

2009 is winding down and it's time to set new goals for 2010. What are everyone's cycling related goals for 2010?

My goals:

1. Riding in a century ride each month (organized or non-organized)
2. Riding in the Tour de Tucson next November at 195 lbs or less (23 lbs to go as of this morning)
3. Trimming 30 minutes off my 2009 time at the Tour de Tucson (6:11 less 0:30 = 5:41 or better)

There.... now that I broadcasted it, I have to lay off the ice cream and sweets!!!

OK, I'll go next:

1) Complete a Century in under-6 hours.

2) Ride 5,000+ miles for the year.

3) Ride an organized Century outside of Las Vegas.

all great goals.... I like the goal of riding down the California coast.... I'm thinking that one of my centuries in 2010 is going to have to be over in Cali along PCH.

Well, if you "organize" it, I would appreciate an invite. Then I can cross off goal #3 and possibly goal #1... Although I probably will want to take my time enjoying the view of the coastline.

Paul, good luck on the Tour de Tucson. I don't think I will ever try that one again, I have not had good luck with that ride.

My goals are rather ambitious. In chronological order.

1. Ride a century in under 6 hrs. Fastest so far is 6:30.
2. Ride a century in under 12 hrs. Three "laps" of Lee Canyon. Have only done 2 laps in 9 hrs.
3. King of the Mountains
4. Double century
5. Triple Crown
6. Half Silverman
